In 2016 the Mountain View voters approved Measure V, the Community Stabilization and Fair Rent Act (CSFRA), which enacted a system of rent controls and eviction restrictions in the City of Mountain View. The CSFRA took effect on December 23, 2016.

Under the CSFRA rent increases for covered units are tied to inflation, as measured by the Consumer Price Index.  The CSFRA also provides protections against eviction for tenants in covered units.

This webinar will address the key information rental housing providers in Mountain View need to know about the CSFRA, including:

  • Which units are covered
  • Types of permitted rent increases
  • Rent increases that require pre-approval from the City
  • Notices required by the CSFRA
  • Eviction protections
